Support Worker - Rowan

We are looking for an enthusiastic Support Worker to join the team at Rowan, a residential service for people aged 16-65 living with a variety of disabilities. We currently have a permanent part-time position for up to 72 hours a fortnight.

Rowan is a lively, friendly place to live and family/whānau are very much part of the home. The skilled team provide 24/7 support to flatters to complete the tasks of every-day life.

We create a warm family atmosphere that fosters adult choice, encourages independence, community participation, responsibility and self-determination.

Knowledge of the healthcare sector and standards is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. You must be reliable, readily contactable and be flexible to work across three shifts including weekends and public holidays.

The successful candidate will receive a comprehensive induction and orientation programme, and will also be partnered with a qualified staff member to develop the required skills to become confident in your role.

With a supportive work environment and an extensive range of training programmes, there are further opportunities to gain NZQA qualifications in the field of disability.
